Can anyone advise the best method for retrieving data from a pair of raid 0 drives from a dead MSI K7N2 Delta mobo system. I have a different replacement board but I doubt the OS will load although both are NF2. I do not want to reformat prior to reinstall as there is precious data on the same partition as the OS. Should I just try to reinstall the OS over the existing without reformat, back up data then do a proper format/reinstall?
I also wondered if I could load an OS on another stand alone drive then somehow load raid drivers so the old pair are then recognized, then transfer the data I need.
Thanks for any advice.

One of the issues with RAID-0 is that if one drive fails, all data is lost with no hope of recovery. But it sounds like the drives are good & the mobo failed?
Since I've never tried it, I may be talking out my azz, but I'd try setting up the RAID-0 on the new board & attempt a "repair install"

I had a K7N2 Delta-ILSR for a while. It was a fun but quirky board, and I ended up buying an NF7-S v2 to replace it.
Anyway, you're going to destroy your data if you try to setup a new striping array with the drives on the Asrock--I don't think the NF2 RAID function will setup the drives in exactly the same way as the Delta's PDC-20376 controller.
If you can get hold of a Promise SATA-RAID controller like the PDC-20376 or PDC-20378, you should be able to recover your data after recreating the striping array--as long as you remember the stripe size and order of drives you used on the Delta.
Been there and done that, so you do have a chance.
"If it ain't broke, upgrade anyway."
