A friend gave me his comp there was something wrong........I used the recovery disc I have recovered all but one file can this file be recovered?

Apparently it can't be recovered. You can get this file from anyone having a similar OS install. The i386 folder is the install folder for the OS. It being deleted has nothing to do with a problem with the machine.
