How to match FL inverter to display & laptop

Toshiba laptop/samsung lc... / A100 (psaa9c-jh200e)

Specs: Windows 7 32bit/WinXP, T2300/2G
I have a Toshiba A100 with a busted screen. I bought a
replacement LCD panel from the same manufacturer as
the original panel but upped the resolution seeing that
my video car supports much higher resolution than the
original display. I now realize this isn't going to be as
easy as I thought b/c the inverter doesn't work with the
new panel.

Most of the places I've see that sell inverters match
them to specific laptop numbers but in my case the
display wasn't the original one in my laptop. I can
always get an inverter that matches another Toshiba
notebook that comes with the same screen resolution
as the new panel but I'm not sure if that's enough.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge in
matching an inverter to a laptop and/or display?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The best solution I can think of.
Do a search for the LCD display that you bought. See if you can match the display to a laptop make and model.

Then search for the inverter for that laptop.

You may find something on the link.

This may be more like what you're looking for.

There is nothing to learn from someone who already agrees with you.

Thanks Dumbob, this might actually work much better than other sites as they
specify the exact models the screens are compatible with as opposed to the
more generic "A10, A7" we see elsewhere. Once I've matched the new
panel to one of theirs I should know which inverter is needed.

Thanks everyone, will post my results..
