Comment:

I bought Win XP home edition for my own computer. I then bought just a license (No CD) for another computer I'm running.

I copied the XP disk and tried installing on the other computer with the copied disk, but for some reason the copied disk wasn't bootable. I'm thinking there is some kind of copyright protection.

I used Nero V5.5 to copy the WinXP CD.

Anyway, as soon as I put in the original WinXP cd in the other machine, it booted off of the cd just fine and went on to install WinXP without issue.

My question is, is there a way to make an exact replica of a cd without copyright getting involved, or is there a way to make a cd bootable.

I know this post is not a hardware issue per se, but I couldn't seem to find a utilities thread, or whatever. I'm looking forward to hearing all of the device that you guys have to offer.

Thanks!
