How to install bluetooth for laptop

Specs: XPh, cpu 1.1Ghz ram 758MB

My laptop, an IBM T23 has the factory built-in wireless antenna and came with the "IBM High Rate wireless LAN MiniPCI Combo Card".

Is it possible to plug in some kind of miniPCI card to harness on the original antenna in order to get the bluetooth capability?

I don't have DSL, and now use an USB bluetooth dongle for my phone line internet dial-up. But this permanently takes up one precious USB socket. So, if I can get bluetooth by sticking in a MiniPCI card instead, this would free up my USB socket.

If you have successfully got bluetooth through this method, I would be grateful if you can show me how. Many thanks.

You can get Bluetooth PCMCIA cards, but they will use thier own antenna.

You T23 will support either two Type I, two Type II, or one Type III PC card. The slot supports CardBus adapters and PC card adapters.
