OS: Windows XP Pro SP2

Manufacturer/Model: ASUS P5P800
Comment:

I desire to upgrade my MB to one that can take a faster CPU when I get the bucks to buy it. There appears to be different Intel 3.2 processors. I downloaded Intel's processor identify software but it refuses to identify my processor.
Windows System tools states there are 2 line entrys of the following:

Processor x86 Family 15 Model 4 Stepping 1 GenuineIntel ~3360 Mhz

Does this mean that Windows sees a dual core processor? It was not advertised as a dual core processor. How can I determine exactly what this thing is? TIA for your help.

Have you tried programs such as Everest Home Edition, Belarc Advisor, SIW or CPU-Z?
They are all free and a Google search is all you need to find them.
