Hi Experts,
I would like to get rid off the BIOS graphical message, what usually shows the Processor speed, amount of memory, configuration etc; and I like to see the windows as soon as I start the PC…if it possible to do that…. do I have to flash the bios or not? I don’t know how to do that? Any way I got AMD ATHLON XP+1800 MOBO
Any possible solution just let me know!
Thanks
Mohagian

Depends on your motherboard. Some have a feature to display a "boot logo" instead of the display messages. In any event your computer won't boot any faster - you will just see the "boot logo" during the same period that you would have seen the text messages.

Most people look for a way to disable the logo so that they can see the BIOS info during bootup...it can be an invaluable troubleshooting tool. I suggest you leave it as-is

What you're seeing is the POST screen, not the BIOS screen. You may be able to press Tab when booting, or select Fast Boot in the BIOS and you will then not see the POST.
Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

Mohagian,
The only way that I know how to make sure that windows is the first thing you see, is to never turn off your computer.
Could use standby or hibernation, as these would accomplish about the same thing. Being able to have windows be the first thing you see.
Hope that helps!
George
Oh, and I do agree that the screen that shows all the information at the beginning of the boot sequence is also very important.
Please respond after you have solved your problem to notify who helped you and what solved the problem. Both sides benefit when you do.
