Ok I had a HP pavilian that died. I still wanted to use the case so I took the case out, threw it away, and got a gateway 2000 motherboard off of Ebay. Installed motherboard, cdrom drive, hard drive, etc. Plugged in power supply and it came on with no problems whatsover. So today I install Windows XP. Problem free install, but when I got ready to shut the computer down, I clicked start, and turn off computer. It turned off. But a few minutes ago when I got ready to turn it back on it won't come on. I keep hitting the power button and nothing happens. I have the power button coming from the case hooked into the PW switch on the motherboard. It came on fine until I installed an operating system but it would come on as soon as I plugged it into the wall I never had to press the power switch on the case. Can anyone tell me how to get the computer to turn back on.
