Specs: microsoft Windows Me 4.90.3000 preformance63.0mb of ram Hardware is origianal configeration system is 76% free file system 32 bit
computer freezes up and the only way I can get it to unfreeze is to turn it off. Which I'm told is unsafe to do.
The error message is error KERNEL32DLL Explorer must shut down. This error happens both on line. But I get an error KERNEL32DLL other time when I'm not on line.
How do I stop this from happening. I can aford to have my computer crash. With the back injury I have their is no income and I'm unable to work.
I has given this computer and i"m trying to learn possible ways to earn money as well as intertain myself while laid up.
Please keep it simple as I'm blond and just learning what to do.

This is a copy/paste from another question by *may* be helpful:

If you don't have a cleaning program, install & run CCleaner-Slim. If you're the type that likes to store your passwords so that you don't have to log in to sites all the time, uncheck the box next to 'cookies' before running the program. I always uncheck the box next to Recycle Bin & empty it myself as I see fit, but that's up to you. Run the program, delete everything it finds.

Make sure to get the 'Slim" version.

When's the last time you scanned for viruses and spyware? Which anti-virus program are you running?
