Hello,

I want to upgrade my RAM memory from 256 to 512. At the moment I am sure I have SD RAM. I have looked at General Tab, but it only tell how much, and not the type I have. Is there a way to find out if I have SD or DDR?

Just another short question. If I have SD RAM is it possible to replace it with DDR RAM or RDR RAM?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Technically it's all SDRAM. SDR-SDRAM has 168-pins (PC100 or PC133)...DDR-SDRAM has 184-pins (PC2100, PC2700, PC3200, etc).

However, you have a laptop (it always helps if you mention that fact), so you need 144-pin SODIMM SDR-SDRAM

I'm with Richard. Go to www.crucial.com and you can get all the info you need regarding your particular system.
