How to extract files and file system from Asus router hdd?

Specs: Windows 10
Hello,
I have an old 250GB disk from Asus Router-Storage (also www server) WL-700gE. Router stopped working so I removed the HDD from inside. I would like to extract files from it, also preserve filesystem and filenames.
The drive runs linux I believe. I don't use linux at work, so preferably extracting it with Windows would help.
I tried Diskinternals Linux Recovery, but what it does it scans disk and extracts file by file into a huge meaningless folder and names.

Put this on a CD or thumb drive & transfer the files from the 250GB drive onto the host comp.

When you run Linux off whatever you choose, it should see your good & bad drive.
