How to expand computer screen display

February 16, 2011 at 11:15:32
Specs: Windows 7
I downloaded Explorer 9 and my display became almost square so that each side has about an inch and a half blank with no browser showing. The browser screen is almost square and goes from top to bottom correctly.

I would suggest reverting back to IE8 then, that's my humble opinion ;-)

I haven't used IE9 so I can't say what features are available. That said, it appears IE9 is changing your resolution to a 4:3 ratio. Look for settings to set the resolution to your native resolution. If none are available then roll back to an earlier version or do as I do and use Mozilla Firefox 3.6. I have no such problems with my wide screen 22" monitor.

Yes, it was normal. Sorry for the delay in replying but I went to bed last night and have a number of voluntary or honorary jobs here and have been working since 8am GMT and just got home.

The screen was full before IE9 was downloaded. The delay in replying is that it was evening when we last corresponded and I then went to the Town Hall at 8 am GMT to do an honorary job. I came home a few hours ago and replied but it seems not to have reached you.
