If it is no longer detected in BIOS there are a few possibilities. Power or data cables have become loose or dislodged. Drive has failed. Powersupply has had a partial failure on the 12V connector attached to the drive. Motherboard drive controller has failed. These answers presume you are talking about an internal drive. When you ask a question it is best to provide as much detail as you can about your system including whether it was previously working, and any changes recently made as well as what steps you might have already tried to resolve the issue.
