can a dvd player ,mp3, connected to external speaker? Or to the speakers of the computers? If so how to do it?

In most cases you will need an external amplifier to drive the speakers.

In fact we own a lg DVD player with built in amplifier. So how to go about we tried to connect to an external speaker .But efforts we in vain. If you have an answer pl do reply. Thank you.

If the device has an RCA jack, just splice the cable and connect it to a speaker. RCA cables can be had for about a dollar. For an MP3 player, they make RCA splitters for headphone jacks as well.
