how to connect an IDE Harddisc to a SATA docking station?

Specs: Windows 7
i bought a sata docking station and when i came home i realized that my Harddisk are IDE. the docking station only accepts SATA harddisk. I am not familiar with hdd i thought it is ok.. Anyone know how to connect an IDE Harddisc to a SATA docking station? hope anyone with who knows can answer. thanks

You can buy an adapter which converts IDE drive interface to SATA, but unfortunately they are designed for internal use (ie connecting the drive internally). The adapter is too large to allow the drive to fit into the slot of a docking station.

You will have to buy either a dual IDE/SATA docking station, or just stick to using SATA drives with your existing docking station.

What do you plan on using the dock for? And how long do you realistically expect to be using IDE HDDs?

Take it back and get one that will work for your type of drives.
