I just wet a paper towl and wring it out and wipe the screen...

Paper towel will scratch your LCD screen. Here's a good set of instructions on cleaning lcd screens.

I think you can also use the soft cloth wipe that is made for cleaning reading glasses. Sorry, I forget what they are called.
