Comment:

Display had gone. Hence, I pulled out RAM, cleaned it and re-insterted into the slot. The problem was solved for one day. On the other day, I felt the same problem.

I doubt SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) is not working properly.

Is there any way to make sure whether SMPS is OK or not ?

List your system specs in detail. Especially the PSU (SMPS) make/model & amperage ratings.
