I just bought a new custom PC. I want to check the temperature of my PC. How would I go about doing this? Is there some freeware/software I can download to do this??

I can't give you the exact specs of my PC because I am at work right now. If there is any additional ifo to answer the question let me know.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Druss

There are two programs that you can download to find this out. Aida32 and motherboard monitor 5. I have them both and they work good. Aida32 will even tell you more then just the temps. It will tell you just about everything that you have on your system. Memory, programs installed etc.
If you do a google seareh for them you will find them.

If you want to monitor your temps while in Windows, you'll need a software program such as MBM5...otherwise, all you have to do is look in the BIOS under PC Health, or Hardware Monitoring, or something similar

CPU temps vary from system to system, therefore it's difficult to nail down a specific temp. Obviously, lower is better...I'd say mid 40s Celsius (or less) at idle is what to expect. But that will vary with room temp.

As my own personal "rule of thumb", system temp should be within about 10C of room temp. So at 68F (20C), your system temp should be roughly 30C
