Hi,
I'd like to build my own computer. Something like 2.0 Ghz, 60 GB, 512 MB ect..
Can you tell me what are the steps to follow if I want to buy the spare parts?

Before u do anything please do care to see the compatability issues of whatever u buy and do have someone to guid u

these days computer parts are so easy to assemble that its not a prob but only thing u should be aware of is compatability.

Its like if there is a prob then its big else there aint no prob

hope above stuff helped u in someway.

Best of luck.

Take your time and do your research. This includes eBay listings for mobos, cpus, and cases. Many mobo listings include a link to the manufacturer.

Even if you don't shop on eBay, it is still a good place to look around.

I found memoryonly.com and internetishop.com via eBay. My RAM is from the former and my 15 inch TFT flat panel monitor is from the latter. Even my cdrw drive is from the latter.

Even a midtower with lots of drive bays is a plus, as it gives you room to expand. My system is in a 12 drive bay full tower case (Internetishop happens to sell the exact case), and I currently have 8 drives in it, with 2 eide devices available, and 2 extra bays.

I went on a site to look for a fan to build the computer. What kind of fan do I need? more than one? I saw on my current computer that there is one on the mother boear and a big one to cool the computer.
I am buying a motherboard with fan included.
I also saw another fan at http://www.microdirect.co.uk/companypages/products/cases/caseaccessories/akasa/fanaka170bl/fanaka170bl.htm. Will that be necessary?
