How to Assign Multiple Hard Disk's in a single drive:

I have 3 Hard disk in my computer and each hard disk capacity is 40 GB. I want to merge these 3

I don't know about 3 but the was a program to do 2. Also you could do a raid 0 array on 2 drives. I hope you realize that you might lose all files if one of the drives has a failure.

You could do a RAID array, but you would not get any enhanced performance, just data redundancy and backup.

You could primary partion one drive, and create Logical Extended Partitions extend the partitions to the other two.

The primary drive would be C with two extended partions, E and F.

Don't create a primary partition on more than one drive, primary is the only bootable partition.Creating a primary partition on more than one drive will enhance file storage and transfer confusion.

RAID array only works on even number of hard drives. If your motherboard doesn't support it, you'll either need to use a software solution, or get a RAID PCI controller.

RAID 0 is striping across multiple hard drives, and it increases performance. However, if one hard drive dies, the array is toast, and so is all the data on it.

What you want is JBOD (Click here), or Just a Bunch Of Disks. It lets you merge all the hard drives together (called spanning), but it does not increase performance or anything. It's only useful to keep things together/organized. However, it might decrease performance, as a file might get split over several drives. JBOD is not a RAID array

Name is correct. I have used this when you have a default location that you need to write large amounts of data to. If you want to try this be aware it can't be undone. At least I don't think it can. Look under the help files for disk spanning.
