According to your configuration, you must be a Pentium 4 1.5Ghz socket 423. The fastest socket 423 CPU available is a Pentium 4 2.0Ghz Socket423 with 256K cache. I don't think there are any in the retail store. Perhaps you can go online and search for a Socket 423 Willamette Pentium 4 CPU. Do not buy Socket 478 or a Pentium 4 Northwood.

I have heard of socket 478 to socket 423 converters. That may allow you to install a newer cpu.

The old Pentium 4 requires 1.7v voltage and the new one requires 1.5v. That's 0.2v difference there. If your motherboard doesn't support 1.5v, buying a new socket converter is useless.

Keep in mind that your memory may be holding you back (bottleneck) if you try using a 2 Ghz processor with PC133 memory. If I were you, I'd stick with the 1.5 Ghz CPU until you can upgrade the motherboard, CPU, AND memory.
