how do you replace broken usb ports

Specs: Windows 7
both usb ports on an acer aspire 5532 broke off, unable to attach anything

The USB ports are part of the motherboard. Possible they could be fixed by a repair shop or the entire motherboard would need to be replaced.

How did you manage to break them?

If the laptop is still under warranty asking for a warranty repair might be an option. I found a comment about a USB port breaking on this model after only one month.

If it's not under warranty use pcmcia usb card like this one
