Reply: (edit)What motehrboard do you have? Most boards that use onboard graphics and have an AGP slot ( I assume the card your using is AGP and not PCI) will automatically disable the onboard graphics when a card is put in and the AGP card will take over from teh onboard VGA.

Reply: (edit) When i installed a ATI RADEON 32MB PCI card (no AGP slot), my system had i810 intergrated graphics .I disabled it in device manager under display adapters and under system devices .My Bios did not havse a option to disable onboard video ,some do ! Following the directions that came with my graphics card , I frist disabled the onboard video , then rebooted and let the system automatcally install the standard VGA software ! Then I proceeded with installation of the card ! In my situation I had the BIOS set to PCI frist as the display device ! Good Luck Nick
