I have the intel pentium dual procceser e5200 with an Asus P5QL Pro motherboard, 4gb ram, and a Nvidea 9400 Geforce Gt and I was wondering since ive never done this before how should i overclock this ? my email is hamman42@aol.com thanks

i want to over clock it to around 3-3.5ghz on my stock fan

if you are overclocking at all you should get a better heat sink and fan for good measure

i hear with the e5200 you can overclock up to 3.5ghz with stock fan

not that i have ever overclocked but if you do it would get hotter so at the verry least get the fan to spin at max speed all of the time

The stock HSF will be fine.

Repost in the CPU/overclocking forum & I'll help you out. Include the type/speed of RAM you have...4GB isn't very helpful. Is it DDR2-667, DDR2-800, DDR2-1066??

BTW, if you're hoping to improve performance for gaming, you're not gonna accomplish much as long as you still have the 9400GT. It's not a good gaming card & overclocking the CPU can't make up for it.
