Specs: Windows 64

I have the disc for a HP Photosmart 7520 e-ALL-IN-ONE Printer in the computer. How do I run the disc?

First read any of the manuals that you have received with the printer; often there is simplified version - aka quick setup/installation" or similar.

Then having done so... insert the setup disk - follow the on-screen prompts...

Usually the instructions are very specific about when to actually connect the printer (via usb initially); so be sure to read and note when that is... - before actually running the setup routine from the CD.

If the CD doesn't automatically run... then browse the disk contents (via windows explorer) and find the setup.exe file. Click on that and it will (or ought to) start the setup process.

Just for info what is your operating system (Windows 7, Windows 8 or whatever). I see it is 64 bit (which is useful) but even XP had a 64 bit version.

If the disk is not intended for the Windows version you are using then go to HP and get the correct driver for your Photosmart 7520.

EDIT: Typo.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

You could typically use the included CD, but I prefer to download the latest driver set from HP. Typically, you plug the printer into the power but you do not plug in the USB cord until the install program tells you to do this. This prevents Windows from automatically selecting their own generic drivers for the hardware. Everything is pretty much automated with prompts from there on.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
