I keep getting this error message when i boot up the computer:
Non-System disk or disk error, replace and press any key when ready.I tried figuring it out on google and this is as far as i got:
If the disk was prepared with FORMAT or SYS using DOS 4.0 and later versions, and the specified system files are not the first two files in the directory, or if a problem was encountered loading them, or the boot sector is corrupt.
How do i fix this?!

Shorty,,
How many times I tell you? Always ask the question that you want answered. O.K.Now, is there a floppy in the reader? Do you get there error on drive A: or C:?
You must tell this if you want answer.
Kapish?

Lol, yeah. Sounds like you have got it's boot sequence setup to look elsewhere than C: for its first try. It's pretty normal.
Just go into the bios and change the BOOOT SEQUENCE so it reads C: first, followed by CDROM and A or whatever you want. Make sure C: is the first letter in the sequence thats all.
And I agree. You probably got a disk in the floppy or cd rom when you boot.

yah i got this same problem and i also get "floppy disk failure" and i have no clue what to do, im a sum wut beginner at all of this and now i dont know how to hook up a cd-rom. can anyone help me out there?

do you know how to get into the system bios?
do you see the two cables on the back of the floppy? one of them is for power and has 4 wires, the other is flat and wide and probably has 34 wires. well, they both pull straight back when you remove them. notice the wide cable may have a red line on one side. be sure to reconnect the cable the same way it came off.
