Does it work OK otherwise? Did it just start doing that or was it always that way? This space for rent
Thanks for your response. It doesn't work - can't read discs. It used to work but has been left unused for many months.
Could be something as simple as a loose cable to the drive or a defective drive. Open the cover and double-check (and re-insert) both power & data cables. If that doesn't solve the problem, you may be needing a new drive. Fortunately they're fairly inexpensive... "Channeling the spirit of jboy..."
