Hi my nc6120 is currently running a 40GB hard drive and i want to upgrade it to a bigger one but how do i know if it is IDE or SATA and what the maximum size i can buy to put in that will work fine many thanks?

According to what I read, the max size is 100 gig hdd. It sounds like it's an ATA 2.5" drive. 5400 rpm. I saw them at newegg.com

You simply search for: Compaq nc6120 hard drive upgrade.
The max size you can upgrade to is 250gb.
The drive must be 2.5" and IDE.
There used to be larger capacity 2.5"IDE drives available, 320 and 500gb, but they're no longer making them.
