i have a compaq presario 5000 and my computer will let me play cds but it wont let me burn music from lime wire onto a disc it wont read the blank cd. i need some help cuz idk how to go about doing it i have looked all over in my computer and it says the system is working but its not showing up when i enter the blank disc.
Q. Is the system equipped with a burner? If it is only a CDROM you cannot burn.

Do you have a CD burner? Which burning program do you have? What type of music files? MP3? If you want to keep them in MP3 format, just burn them to a data disc. If you want to be able to play the disc on a standard CD player, such as in a car, you need to burn them to an audio disc as .CDA (CD audio) files.
