Q. Is the system equipped with a burner? If it is only a CDROM you cannot burn.
Q. Do you have any burning software installed?
What version of Windows Media Player are you running?

Do you have a CD burner? Which burning program do you have? What type of music files? MP3? If you want to keep them in MP3 format, just burn them to a data disc. If you want to be able to play the disc on a standard CD player, such as in a car, you need to burn them to an audio disc as .CDA (CD audio) files.

Try DeepBurner: http://www.filehippo.com/download_d...

Or CDBurnerXP: http://www.filehippo.com/download_c...

Both are free.
