How did my system change from NTFS to RAW?

April 15, 2011 at 10:01:10
Specs: Windows XP Media Center, Dual Core: 2.00ghz/2.00ghz
Please refer to my last comment to: starting a new thread about trouble wiith the computer battery, not finding the hdd, BIOS changed by itself.

I tried to do a chkdsk /f and it said it couldn't do it on RAW drives. Did some research to find out what a RAW drive is and found some google entries but couldn't get to the sites to find out. So, how did if convert from NTFS to RAW and how can I change it back?

You should NOT have started another Topic about your MCE installation problems.

See response 4 in your
Starting another Topic thread.

In that:

It sounds like you DID NOT install MCE properly !

You MAY need to replace your mboard / Cmos battery.

Your bios is probably seeing the SATA hard drive fine, unless you've been fiddling with it's cables.
You probably need to change a setting in the bios Setup from the default setting so that the MCE CD contents can see your SATA hard drive.
