And how can i view my laptop and work with it on my PC.?Laptop doesn't have OS And if so do i have to be connected to the internet?

Firstly, without an O/S on your laptop you cannot do anything. Install one. After that, you have many options that really depend on what you want to do and how much you want to spend. If you have a network card in each machine you can hook them together with a crossover cable or a normal cat-5 cable and a hub. This will allow you to share files and other resources. If both machines have an Internet connection (dialup or high speed), you can also access them that way using pcAnywhere, and other software. You can also use a high speed parallel or serial cable and direct cable connection to connect them. Decide on what you really want to accomplish and then install an O/S on the laptop. That is the first requirement.

i have a few laptops and i want to to install os's to. but my problem was that i didn't have an external cdrom to install.now i do.but can't get in to the laptop bios to make it boot up from the cdrom. it's a compaq contura 410cx. any sugestions? Regards
