Specs: Windows Vista
My HP110-3100 netbook has only 1GB memory insufficient to run Window 7. The present memory (!GB) is only enough to for Window 7 Starter. I would like to uograde it to 2 GB memory so I I would be able to use Windows 7

Did this netbook come with Vista on it, or did you upgrade that from XP ?
Even 2gb is not enough memory for a lot of things in Vista or Windows 7.

You may not be quoting the right model number.

Go here:

Scroll down a bit.
Find the similar label on your netbook.
Quote the specific model number - the one at the end of the first line.
Quote the Product number (p/n) - the one on the third line.

The only ram listings I can find for HP 110-3100 specifically are on the Crucial web site

HP Mini 110-3100ca Netbook.

It has one ram slot, a 2gb module can be installed.

Other ram manufacturer's web sites have listings for HP Mini 110-31xx , e.g. 110-3105sl , but not for 110-3100
