Comment:

We're installing new servers into 200 sites across the UK, for three of them we need to slightly alter the drive config due to space demands. We want to install two 146Gb drives mirrored for system and core stuff, and five 73Gb drives in a Raid 5 array. We have a space for a Hot Swap drive, on the other 197 servers this is easy as all the drives in the system are the same capacity. For these three we have a mixture.
My question: Can a Hot Swap drive be larger than its emergency target? Can we put the 146Gb drive onto the 73Gb Raid 5 set as a hot swap, and it only silvers half of it?

Simple question I think, I just don't know the answer.

Anyone help?
Thanks
Laurence
