I am having two horizontal thin lines across the LCD panel of my Toshiba satellite A100 laptop. Can anyone tell me what this means? I am freaking out that my LCD screen is going to die soon. Somebody suggested to run a s/ware named undeadpixel is it ok? I can disassemble the display panel and reconnect the cables if they are loose. Is that can be the cause of this. How much would it cost to replace the whole LCD screen. Please help me
thank you, so trying to fix the cables or running s/ware to fix the dead pixels wouldn't work? By the way this is one of the best websites I've found on the internet. I am amazed how generous the people are here to offer their help. Thank you again.
u can't fix a dead pixel by a software unless it's a driver issues (in your case it's not a driver issue). Iam afraid nothing can be done to fix the problem. U have three options 1. Use as it is (ignore dead pixels) 2. Use external monitor 3. Replace display (which is expensive)
