Comment: what all do i need to hook my turntables up to my computer and record everything onto my computer to make cds and whatever else do i need a pci card of some sort and what wires and if any programs what all do i need to do this ?

Reply: (edit)you will need a wire and software. You may also need a preamp. The wire you can get at radio shack. the software i use is total recorder. the preamp is only needed if the sound you record is to low volume.

Reply: (edit)Along with the above suggestions, I would think that you're cable will need to be some sort of "Y" connector that not only will convert the RCA jacks of your turntable cables to a miniplug connector for your sound card aux-in plug, but also for combining the left and right cables into one cable connection for your soundcard, unless yours is sophisticated to the point it has left and right channel aux-in connectors, then you would not need a "Y" adaptor, just two adapter cables with the appropriate ends. I would experiment first without the pre-amp. You might blow up your sound card, if the input level is too high. Try it first without a pre-amp. You can always amplify the signal coming back out to your speakers, which would be safer.
