i want to avoid the wires, i have cable internet and want to know that if hooking up a second modem at the PS2 is possible. i know there will most likely be a second MAC and it probably wont work, but maybe it's different considering it's not a PC being connected. any ideas on how to hook up a PS2 without a router?

Explain to me, how hooking up a "second modem", which won't work, by the way, will save wiring?

You either have to have cables/wires/conductors/cords (you call them what you want) to each computer, or, you have to have some sort of wireless lan.

mabey he is saying cable modem to ps2 through USB. BUT you need to install drivers for it on the PS2 because im sure they didnt thing of people trying this one. the best idea is just to run cat5 to your ps2 and do it that way.
