Is it possible to hook your computer up to the receiver on a surround sound system? My surround sound system is here:

If it is, what would I need to hook it up?

That's what I use. One for playback thru the stereo & one for recording from the dvd/vcr deck.

Yep, use one of the cables jam listed for "normal" (2 channel) computer audio.

If your integrated audio or soundcard can bitstream digital audio, you can also purchase a light tube (optical cable) to get 5.1 audio from movies.

I bought a cable for $10 that goes from my sound card to my preamp. It's similar to the one shown on the Radio Shack site.
