I have never seen plans to build a external hard drive or even the circuit board for an external enclosure.

and it's usb 2.0. Just add your hd and go. I ordered a similar one from them about a year ago. Newegg also carries them for similar price.

Hi,
You can purchase an external enclosure for an internal hard drive that connects via USB. I saw one on Newegg for around $35.00.
