While I have not been having any problems with my computer, when I checked temperatures using Everest Home Edition, I obtained the following readings: Temperatures: CPU 36 °C (97 °F) Aux 78 °C (172 °F) GPU 37 °C (99 °F) GPU Ambient 35 °C (95 °F) WDCWD800JB: 35 °C (95 °F) Maxtor 6L100P0 32 °C (90 °F) Of course the one which concerns me is Aux at 78 °C. I’m not sure what that refers to. There is no reading in the BIOS for system temperature-only the CPU, which doesn’t concern me. PC Wizard lists 78 °C as the mainboard temperature. Should I be concerned about this ?

I highly doubt that's the mainboard/system temp. There's no way your other components could be in the 30's if the inside of the case is 78C. It's just a "phantom" reading. Try a different temp monitoring program.

Thanks for the reply. I had thought it was probably a "phantom" reading, but I wanted to check with others on this forum. I have tried two different temperature monitoring programs already, so maybe I cannot obtain a reasonable reading of the mainboard/system temp using software.
