the hidden folder are shown when i start my computer i also go to folder options select the don't show hidden files but also the hidden folder are shown when i start my computer can u help me

What do you mean "the hidden folder are shown" when you start your computer? You have to be descriptive enough of your situation for someone to help you.

This is not a hardware issue. Should have been posted in the WinXP forum.

When you check to hide system files are you also checking "apply to all folders"?

If you selected and applied Do not show hidden files in Tools - Folder Options - View, then they should not be showing up. Which Hidden Files/Folders are still there?
