Specs: Windows XP
HI I have a machine I built and was running fine for some time until I messed with it. I added a new cooling unit. After installing thermal paste, reinstalling cpu, system wont even boot bios, no beep, no video ,nadda ! Power light on MB lights up, fans run ect ...

Its a asus motherboard , M3A76 -CM , with a AMD athlon 64 x2 . Im using on board video.

tried every senerio, Tried booting MB out of case alone with no ram , cpu, ect. Added ram and cpu, nothing. Power supply is fine, tested that. All wires are tight and correct. Shouldn't I be able to boot motherboard and get bios without any components? I think I may have blew Motherboard?

You MUST disconnect the AC power to the PS whenever you do anything with a component or wiring connections inside the case, or outside the case.
Did you do that at ALL times?

The cpu must be installed and working in order for the mboard to attempt to boot.

When no ram is installed, if nothing else is wrong, if the case speaker is connected to the mboard, you get no video and the mboard produces an error beep pattern that indicates no ram installed or a ram problem

The only thing you have not mentioned trying is re-seating the cpu.

"Power supply is fine, tested that."

When? After or before this happened ?
If before, test it again with another computer.
