Ok I've purchased some ram -
2 * 1GB PC 3200, DDR DIMM, 400Mhz
I purchased it for a Dell Dimension 1100 / B110, According to the manual My computer is capable of taking This ram yet When I attempt to install it the ram is not recognised and the computer will not start, It'll give the a Diagnostic light error that basically says something's wrong with the Ram.
I've checked my Bios and it's up to date I believe, I cannot contact DELL tech support without the requirement of sitting on the phone for 3 hours till they get me off hold -.-.
ANY help or advice is appreciated, I'm doubtful that the RAM is faulty, This is the second Batch of Ram I have purchased that would not work.

the ebay listing says the ram is HIGH DENSITY, some PCs have problems with that.
How many chips on each memory stick.
For example, some PCS will take a certain size memory stick if it spread over 16 chips on the stick, but not 8. Because the chips on the 8 chip stick are too 'dense'.

Yeah stay away from high density 4 layer PCB ram, it is cheap for a reason.
I buy from www.digi4me.com
