Help with laptop charger!

Ok so i have had this dell c600 laptop for about 2 years. About 3 minutes ago the light on my ac/dc charger box just went out and i have nothing to power my laptop. and no matter what i do my charger won't work. Any suggestions on how to fix one or can i even fix it? Thanks!

Apart from checking the fuse in the plug there isn't much you can do - they aren't user-serviceable. You can either get a replacement from Dell or places like Maplins & CPC supply generic ones - first you need to check the connector is the same - some, like Packard Bell, use non-standard ones, but if you're lucky it's just be a simple cylindrical connector - the inner is usually positive & marked as such. Just make sure the supplied voltage is the same & the supply current is the same or higher - there'll be a label on the box with these figures.
