I want to reformat my c drive but I cannot boot from my windows xp disk. when windows starts up I am not given the option to boot from CD. Can someone please tell me how I can overcome this.

Change BIOS Settings to list CD as first Bootable Device.....

To elaborate on the above response, tap del starting right after booting the computer. You should be taken to the BIOS (setup) screens. The second screen should be the one with the boot order on it. Read the instructions on the screen to learn how to navigate using the keyboard.

You may still need to hit any key to boot from the CD when that message appears on the screen during the start up.
