Comment:

I replaced my PC case with a silence ANTEC case and it came with the 500w Earthwatts PSU, because my old 500 w psu had died. But after setting it up i couldnt get it to boot soo i had removed my ram sticks and graphics card and it booted. I just wanted to know if this PSU is enough for my system or do i need a better one if someone could give me a suggestion as to what to buy it would be really appreciated.

My system has
M2N E SLI mobo
2x Kingston 1GB DDR2 Ram
Seagate 250gb Hdd
DVD rom
DVD burner
AMD athalon x2 4400+
NVIDIA 9800 GT graphics card

Thank You

I would avoid those Earthwatt psu's, especially if you are using anything that's power hungry and I noticed you have an 9800 GT, which needs a decent amount of amps to run and that's what the Earthwatt psu's don't have is the amps to support such cards like that. The watts isn't nearly as important as the amount of amps you have on the 12v rail, that's what really is important and that's prob your problem. You need a psu that has a decent amount of amps on the 12v rail and that will solve your problem. I'd get a psu of atleast 26 amps or higher on the 12v rail.
