please help me, i have a preinstalled avertv DVBT PCI card. i only recently wanted to start using it, and although it booted up the first few times, it has now stopped getting very far at all. all diagnostics seem to say that all is well, but i get " the card has encountered a problem and will now close.....etc" no real tangible error code, this occurs during the loading sequence every time. does anyone have any ideas of what i can do?? have de/reinstalled a couple of times, including from the AVER site, but with no success. possible that during de-installation of software, the hardware is not de-installing?? not sure? thanks a lot guys

Hi it sounds daft but try a different pci slot this may cure your problem if irq's are shared. :)

A little suggestion: When reporting error messages, post them exactly as seen, word for word.

Glad to find this query as i've experienced exactly the same instability from a pre-installed AVerTV-DVB card (from Tiny - i know... i didn't know any better at the time) and is so buggy it's untrue. The most frequent problem comes from its failure to run from the shortcut on the desktop... occassionally i can go to the program files original and sometimes it'll run okay from there, sometimes not. Every so often it causes a blue-screen crash citing something about attscap.sys but it flashes by so swiftly i can't ever get to jot it down. Every so often the only way to get it to run is to reinstall from CD - which seems more reliable than that downloadable from their website. Very often it will freeze when changing channels and have to restarted. the scheduler often starts freezed and records a still image. Or it will freeze once its finished recording and have to be restarted. Any help greatly appreciated.
