Help with AGP cards and mothers

I need to know if my voodoo3 3000 AGP 2X can work in a mother with 4X/8X AGP. This is because in the bios setup AGP configurations of thats mothers appears: AGP Mode: 1X,2X,4X So... if appears 2X mode then the mother works with a voodoo AGP 2X. And... other questions: Can work a 4X/8X video card in a old mother with AGP 2X. This type of information is very confused in the Video Cards and motherboards manufacturers. I have send an e-mail to MSI asking if the GeForce 2 Titanium can work with a AGP 2X mother, and I'm waiting an e-mail to the technical service of MSI... Thanks...
