Hey all. I had a search through a few topics but no go. Very strange thing happened to me yesturday. I was playing some UT online and all of a sudden my PC froze up and went to the XP blue screen of death, with an error message that had something to do with tcpip.sys I THINK. I didn't really have time to read it because it restarted itself. But after it restarted, ever since it has not been able to post. I switch power on, fans and neons work fine, cd rom drive just blinks at me. There are also no beeps, as I know if there would have been it means it's trying to tell me what's wrong. The thing is though surely it couldn't be anything serious, for starters the PC is only about a few months old and I've never had a problem with it except the RAM error beeps, which I fixed because it came out of place. But other then that I've had no problems up until this. All I was doing was playing and bam blue screen then restart. Any help would be muchly appreciated guys!
Thanks

Well if you have really searched through the forum for other questions about what to do when your PC will not post then you would not need to ask the question. You would already have unplugged all drives and pci cards except graphics. You would have removed all but one stick of ram and you would have tried to boot up in this barebones state. If it will not boot with only powersupply, cpu, graphics, 1 stick ram and keyboard plugged in then your problem is reduced to one of these. It is then a matter of testing with known good components.
Of course if the system is only a few months old you may be looking at a warranty issue so if you didn't build it yourself then go back to the vendor. Report back once you've tried.

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

Check the HDD, and from what you are posting, I think that you might have problem with Virus.
I had to deal with that yesterday, and I fixed it.
Hdd is my best guess. Do you hear it spinning?

Remove the modem from your computer! I had the same problem, and that fixed it.
