I just got a new computer (in pieces) and I put it all together and it loads fine now I have no clue how I can install XP on it(the hardrives brand new). Do I have to boot it up with a floppy disk becuase I did that but when i type in E: or F: in the command promp it says "invalid drive selection" Its allready set as the master and when I go in the BIOS it shows up as the master and my cd-rw as the secondary master and my cd-rom and my secondary slave, the MotherBorads is a ASUS P4S800 with a 2.6 Celaron Processor

thank you very much to anyone that helps
Also sorry for my grammer and run-on sentences and sorry if this is not the right section

Enter the BIOS setup and set your CDROM as first boot device.
Put the XP CD into the CDROM.
Then reboot the computer. It should boot from the XP CD and then setup will begin and you will be able to partition and format the hard drive.
Then setup and installation of XP will continue.
