HELP no way to open laptop

Compaq Presario 1625 laptop. there is seemingly no way to open it. Need to replace hard drive and also upgrade CPU, neither of which have direct access panel, and i can find no way to open the damned thing!!! keyboard doesnt come off or anything. is there some secret catch somewhere?? advice??
